In my current work, I move beyond the traditional frame into large-scale, immersive installations. Rolls of silver gelatin paper extend across walls and floors, folded, masked, and exposed to light, sometimes for seconds, sometimes for weeks. Made in near darkness and revealed only in a fixer bath without developer, luminous blues, violets, pinks, and warm beiges emerge from the paper's own chemistry. Color not applied, but revealed through gesture, time, and exposure. These works invite a slower looking; an attention to what light and atmosphere have already written onto the surface. Rather than treating light as an illumination, I approach it as a force that acts upon the paper overtime, recording not a moment, but the passage of time through space.
